Laura is a Registered Acupuncturist in good standing with the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA). Hello! My name is Emmery.

Informally, I am a born and raised Calgarian, a wife, and a mother of two beautiful children. I love to cook, garden, travel, be in nature, listen to live music, and spend time with loved ones.

Formally, I have been practicing Reiki since 2012 and have achieved level three Reiki Master status. In addition to Reiki, I studied breathwork, meditation, and biofeedback for ten years as a member of a spiritual community called The Way of the Heart.

I am a certified member of the Canadian Reiki Association and I have completed a certificate as a Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher. A reiki session includes a series of hand positions placed both on and off the body. By channeling “Qi, or Chi”, life force energy, through the hands, using reiki symbols of attunement, the physical, mental, and spiritual layers of the body can access restoration and regeneration. Reiki also uses the chakra system to read and rebalance energy, so a chakra reading is performed at the beginning and end of each session. Clients report feeling rested, restored, rebalanced, clear, and connected to themselves, following a treatment.

I believe in the power of loving and compassionate self-inquiry. I have been working with clients on and off since 2010, helping them live truer, more beautiful, more meaningful lives, reducing stress, helping through transitions, and ultimately supporting people to remember who they are authentically and how they want to be in this world.

I look forward to connecting and supporting you on your journey.

Warmly, Emmery

Dr. Hillary has joined Marda Loop Naturopathic and Wellness team with a fresh perspective on naturopathic medicine and its benefits for advancing health. Although her breadth of treatment is wide, her special interests lie in pediatric health and development, female and male fertility, pregnancy, pre and post natal care and chronic medical conditions.

Hillary holds an Honours Bachelor of Science and Kinesiology degree from the University of Western Ontario and received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is licensed currently with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta as well as the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

Hillary’s passion for pediatric care has led her to become a member of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians as well as the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors and focus her continuing education in this area.

Hillary believes the strength of naturopathic medical care lies in its ability to treat the root cause of a patient’s concern. This not only achieves symptomatic relief but also allows a patient to reach a higher state of health and prevent further disease.

By understanding the underlying physiology of a patient’s medical condition, along with taking the time to learn about the whole person, Hillary creates treatment plans using various modalities such as acupuncture, clinical nutrition, homeopathy, lifestyle and diet management, and physical medicine. My Approach

I focus on three key aspects: 1. Understanding your unique health story 2. Diagnosing the root cause of your symptoms 3. Treating underlying issues while alleviating symptoms with targeted therapies

Patient-centred care is central to my practice. Each person is different, so I create personalized treatment plans. In our first meeting, I ask detailed questions to understand your health history and, if necessary, conduct relevant tests. This helps us create an action plan that addresses the root cause(s) of your concerns.

Integrative Neuropsychiatry

I specialize in integrative neuropsychiatry, combining the principles of psychiatry, naturopathic medicine, and counselling. This holistic approach considers both the biochemical and psychological aspects of mental health. My treatments may include nutrient supplementation, herbal extracts, intramuscular injections, intravenous (IV) therapies, acupuncture, clinical counselling, and lifestyle optimization.

I believe in a minimalist approach to supplements, focusing on what is necessary and specific. My experience in IV therapy is extensive, having treated thousands of patients with high-dose nutrients for rapid healing.

Years ago, Chloé was looking for a new challenging adventure, so she moved to Calgary to enjoy the wide open space and the mountains.

Chloé has been in practice for over 10 years after graduating with honours from the six-year program at the Institut Supérieur d’Ostéopathie of Lyon in France. Her introduction to Osteopathy started at an early age with some treatment, and she “magically” got better–or at least that’s what she thought at the time! Her curiosity led her to study what really goes on during an Osteopathic treatment. Helping patients feel better and bringing them to the path of health seemed like the most rewarding job in the world, using her brain, hands, and heart at the same time!

Chloé has expertise in a wide range of techniques: gentle hands-on work, Cranio-sacral therapy (Cranial Osteopathy), visceral manipulation, muscle work, and joint mobilizations. Her depth of skill in many Osteopathic techniques helps her resolve some of her patients’ most complex health conditions and adapt each treatment to the patient’s specific needs. Chloé is always up for a challenge!

“Helping patients recover and get better is like a game of Clue: in order to assist them, an Osteopathic therapist has to find the cause of the patient’s symptoms. The body has all the information stored in, and so we just have to train our hands to read it properly.”

In the different clinics she has worked in, treating babies and kids, mothers, migraine sufferers, patients involved in terrible car accidents or falls, workaholic entrepreneurs, as well as athletes, her patients have experienced a significant decrease in their pain and have benefited from her holistic treatment and her advice on lifestyle, posture, exercises, relaxation, breathing, and dietary recommendations.

Chloé is passionate about Osteopathy and believes that learning is a lifelong journey. That is why she keeps adding to her toolbox to improve her skills in order to help as many patients as possible, which leads her to further her education in Biodynamic Osteopathy by taking courses both in the United States, where she was lucky to study with Dr. James Jealous, as well as in Europe a few times each year.

Chloé is taking a special interest in treating babies and children, and after doing a pediatric post-graduate program in Oregon, she is further pursuing it with part-time, post-graduate programs in Pediatrics with the Switzerland Osteopathic Centre for Children and the Bavarian Pediatric School & Clinic for Traditional Osteopathy in Germany.
